About: Taking inspiration from our clients beautiful extension, we created this striking wildlife garden in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. Reflecting the angles and natural materials which dominate the buildings interior and exterior, this unusual garden design blurs the boundaries between inside and out.
A level threshold hardwood deck provides a space to relax and dine. Off the side of the raised hard edge of the deck you’re met with sculpted naturalistic planted borders and a small wildlife pond. The steps cantilever over the water creating drama. At the bottom you reach a gravel seating area with a fire bowl for cosy evenings in front of an open flame. Cleverly framed by a funky pergola with an integral steel log store which doubles up as a feature wall.
The organic curves and flowing gradients lead off into a woodland area. Deep borders throughout the garden are planted to attract birds and insects which help bring the garden to life and create an atmosphere which is often hard to find in such a built up area.
The garden is a true sanctuary for both the local wildlife and our wonderful clients.
